Chinese manufacturer cast aluminum ingot mold release agent
Aqueous and anhydrous release agent
Regarding die-casting, a distinction is made between water-based mold release agents and anhydrous mold release agents. They can be divided into three groups according to their basic raw materials.
The first group includes mineral oils, semi-synthetic and fully synthetic oils, and oils (ester oils) extracted from renewable raw materials. The oil has good spreadability on the mold, and the ester oil also has a good effect on the CO2 balance. However, the use of this type of oil is limited by the maximum allowable temperature of the mold.
The second group includes synthetic waxes produced from crude oil. Their special advantage is to promote good flow of molten metal and good adhesion (adhesion) on the mold. This is important to avoid metal adhesion. Other advantages are higher temperature resistance compared with oil, and good demolding ability at higher mold temperatures. However, wax-based release agents tend to form deposits.
The third group is relatively new and is based on R-polysiloxane-based release agents. They adhere well to the mold surface, promote the flow of molten metal and the formation of high-quality casting surfaces, and ensure that die-cast parts can be easily removed even at very high mold temperatures. Unlike wax residues on the surface of castings, R-polysiloxane-based release agent residues are relatively easy to remove due to their decomposition products.
Complex attributes
In addition to mold release and cooling capabilities, mold release agents must also have several other characteristics, such as good wetting ability, chemical stability at high mold temperatures, environmental compatibility, and will not block the channels and nozzles and gaps of the spray system The ability to mold between the moving parts. The release agent that can be diluted with water contains additives that can make the organic raw materials form a stable mixture in the water phase and protect the die casting machine and molds from corrosion. The biocide protects the release agent concentrate from microbial attack and decomposition associated with it. The release agent should also meet the demand for resource efficiency, so that only a small amount is required per casting cycle, and the cost of recycling or disposal is very low. The use of micro-spraying technology can further save the amount of waste water that must be treated. Using this technology, no more than the amount of liquid absolutely necessary for effective demolding and cooling is sprayed onto the mold.

Features:
Today, the need for more complex aluminum castings and reduced processing time has prompted us to develop a series of mold lubricants that provide increased wetting and film formation at higher mold temperatures. For aluminum die casting machines, we have developed die casting lubricants, which can provide:
1. Hotter mold surface adhesion
2. Reduce the time to achieve the best mold lubricant application
3. Enhanced welding protection
4. Excellent release and brighter castings
5. Less gas generation and better protection of molds from pitting and corrosion
