At the same time, the surfactant also produces ionization, so that the oil droplets are charged, and it also adsorbs a layer of water molecules to be immobilized to form a hydrated ion membrane, and the counter ions in the water are adsorbed on the outer surface and divided into The immobile adsorption layer and the movable diffusion layer form an electric double layer, so that the oil droplets are surrounded by an elastic, firm, and homogeneously charged hydrated ion membrane, which prevents the oil droplets from interacting with each other. The possible combination during collision enables the oil droplets to be stabilized in the water for a long time and become a white emulsion. The oil particle size is generally between 0.1-25μm, and it is difficult to coalesce between oil particles, keep stable for a long time, and it is difficult to separate.


In the use of cutting fluid, due to the mixing of fine chips, abrasive chips, grinding wheel dust, dust and other impurities, it seriously affects the surface roughness of the workpiece, reduces the service life of the tool and the grinding wheel, and accelerates the wear of the machine tool and the circulating pump. In addition, due to oil leakage from the machine tool, the lubricating oil falls into the water-based cutting fluid, causing the emulsion to produce emulsifiable oil.
